Frequent Questions

What will get in your technical analysis?

You will receive a full key frame by key frame report from us. That means that we will breakdown each movement into different key frames and we will try to identify strengths and weaknesses in each stage. Sometimes correcting one small mistake will correct all the other ones from happening, that is why we prefer focusing on a step by step analysis. This will also simplify the intervention phase as it is easier to correct if the focus is on a determined part of your stroke.

You will receive a detailed video analysis that you can play on any device and you can print as well with all the descriptions and instructions that we give.

How will I know how to film the shots?

You will receive full instructions as to where you have to be positioned and how far or close you have to be in order for us to be able to analyze properly each frame.

The instructions will also tell you for how long you should be filming as well as in what situation (basket feeding, live ball rally or point playing situation).

Will I receive any advice on the correction of a shot?

Yes. In our tennis technical analysis process we always try to include an intervention or action plan in regards to what needs to improve or what needs change in order to avoid future problems. We also identify strengths and we suggest action plans to reinforcing aspects that can transform the stroke into a weapon.

Why is working on the technique so important?

Your technique is just an aspect of your game and just working on your technique will not help you achieve your full potential as a tennis player.

Technique is the foundation of your game and it will represent in your development how much and how far you can push your limits. Having a strong technical foundation will allow you to develop other areas of your game with more ease.

For example if your forehand technique is not consolidated, there is a very high chance that it will break down even more when you are on the run or off balance when hitting. This will also prevent you from achieving your full potential from a physical and athletic point of view because your technique will not allow you to put it in practice. At the same time if the technique is not consolidated your tactical potential is also going to be limited as your precision, acceleration, stroke heaviness, ball quality might suffer.

Do you recommend working more on technique?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. The 4 pillars of your game (technical, tactical, physical and mental) require a balanced distribution and of course based on your individual needs. There are moments in your development though when the workload is going to be distributed differently between the 4 aspects.

If the technique is causing your performance to stall at a certain point in your career, that might be a good time to load more on that aspect or at least on certain elements of that aspect. If your physical aspect requires more work then you might have to set aside more time for off court conditioning sessions.

Your coach will advise you best and that is why every player has an annual individualized training plan (periodization plan) based on multiple factors such as tournament calendar, tennis specific needs and areas for development. A training plan is like a roadmap of your development and it is in constant adjustment and change based on your progress and performance results as well.

What if I'm not able to apply the things that you advise?

There is no quick fix formula and everything requires a lot of hard work. A lot of times movements (good or bad) are so deeply wired into our motor program that change requires a lot of effort with many doubts along the road.

The biggest obstacle towards becoming better and improving sometimes is awareness. The fact that you are willing to get your game analyzed means that you are looking to make that change or looking for confirmation as to what needs to change or improve.

We do our best to give you clear actionable and step by step corrections that work for the level of play that you're currently at.

Do you offer refunds?

Every player that we analyze takes anywhere from 45min to 2 hours of work in making the video and processing the report. You can appreciate the fact that we do not offer a refund.

In case we feel that we are not able to make a difference and to help you get better, we will offer a refund before we start making the analysis. We usually contact the client first and discuss our concerns and together we make the right call.
